She started by writing: "Abusive partners always cry after they've beaten you & blame it on "something that happened to them in life" & play the victim….
"..I know because I've had 2 abusive partners. One said his mother didn't love him, the other said he was raped (he wasn't) #domesticviolence"
She continued: "And FYI, domestic violence can happen to even the strongest of people. Did you know that 1 in 4 women have experienced it first hand?"

"Every time he hit me, he cried & I felt sorry for him but also scared of him. I was young. I'd NEVER allow a man to lay a finger on me now.
"I know it happens to men too but I am a woman & I believe that speaking out is the only way to help other women instead of it being taboo."
As Jodie gained support for talking about such a hugely important topic, she began to reveal even more upsetting details.

She said: "As well as being beaten by my own boyfriend, my best friend was murdered by her boyfriend so I know the true horrors of domestic violence.
"2 women a week are killed by a current or former partner. It's outrageous. And women are still too scared to speak up! #enddomesticviolence
"Sorry, I know it's a bit of a heavy topic but I saw something that wound me up & felt the need to speak up. Women should help women x x"
She added: "I forgot to add, one of the blokes that beat me up is now in prison for murder. They don't change #domesticviolence"

"For what it's worth, in my humble opinion; women-beaters never change so get out now while you can before it's too late. You're worth more."
