Jodie Marsh has taken to social media to gush over husband James Placido, as they celebrate their first milestone as a married couple.

She and James secretly wed in Barbados last year – and it seems they’re very much still in the honeymoon period, if Jodie’s beautiful message is anything to go by.

Alongside a cute snap of her cuddling up to him, documentary maker Jodie wrote: “James and I have been married 6 months today and I love him more now than ever before.

“He is so perfect and makes me so happy. I never knew a human could be so amazing. I am the proudest wife in the whole world. He ticks boxes I didn’t even know existed.

“He’s all man; my protector, my lover, my best friend, my number one fan [in his own words], my real life Bear Grylls, my action man, my partner in crime, my own private stand up comedian and my soul mate.”

Jodie added: “He is generous, kind, caring, thoughtful, loving, hilariously funny and massively intelligent. I honestly feel like the luckiest woman in the world [sic].”

It’s probably fair to say Jodie hasn’t had the most stable of love lives since being in the public eye, and the former glamour model’s fans are understandably happy she’s finally found The One.

One wrote: “Thankfully you have found someone who loves you for you @jodiemarshtv You deserve it [sic].”

Another added: “I love this! I’m glad you’re both happy… Looks like you have found your soul mate. I wish you both all the luck in the world! [sic].”

Perhaps the secret to Jodie and James’ success as a couple is keeping their marriage out of the public eye.

When they tied the knot in August, Jodie opted not to sell the rights to a glossy magazine – and later explained the reason why on social media.

She wrote: “We love each other so much and we wanted to get married for US, not for anyone else. We didn’t want a big fancy do, nor did we want a fuss or any attention. We wanted a simple, intimate, beautiful ceremony.

“We didn’t want to make money from our wedding [although offers over £5m would have been considered haha], we just wanted to be husband and wife [sic].”

Congratulations to Jodie and James – here’s to many more anniversaries!
