She's the Essex girl that has always had her name in the press for at least the past 15 years; whether it be down to documenting her bodybuilding journey, appearing on Celebrity Big Brother or because she's hiding her nipples with nothing more than a camouflage-printed belt.
But because the 37-year-old seems to have conquered so much since her showbiz career began in the early noughties, we thought we'd break it down for you - and boy is it an impressive journey!
Jodie's early life and family
Jodie was born in Brentwood, Essex in 1978, and has a brother named Jordan. She first hit our screens on reality TV programme Essex Wives back in 2002, which was a show that followed the lives of women living in Essex - Jodie was working in Stringfellows at the time.
Jodie's early career
After appearing on Essex Wives, Jodie shot to fame after and gained many modelling jobs - posing for the likes of Loaded, Nuts, Zoo and FHM lads' magazines. She was also Page 3 girl in the Sun Newspaper on 6 separate occasions - along with the Daily Sport, News of the World and Daily Star.
She has also made many TV appearances, including Trust Me - I'm A Holiday Rep, E4's Fool Around... With Jodie Marsh and Come Dine With Me. Jodie also won a celebrity version of The Weakest Link back in 2006 and also starred on The Kevin Bishop Show. Perhaps most famous of them all was when she starred on Celebrity Big Brother. Jodie has also filmed many of her own documentary programmes such as Jodie Marsh Tattoo Apprentice, which saw her learning to become a tattooist as well as Jodie Marsh: Bullied during which time Jodie ventures to America to find out how the states tackle bullying.
She's also worked on numerous documentaries tackling different social issues; they were named Jodie Marsh On... and ranged from cosmetic surgery, prostitution, steroid use, virginity and infidelity.
Jodie's Personal Life
Jodie's love life has been played out as quite turbulent over the years - back in 2006, she got engaged to a Brentwood DJ called David Doyle after dating him for just 11 days. After an OK interview revealing how they plan to marry in a dungeon, the pair split the following year. In 2012, Jodie also dated TOWIE's Kirk Norcross for two weeks - a fling which soon ended. She also dated a female hairdresser named Nina in 2008, at which time Jodie gave a full interview on their relationship to Star Magazine.
Totally Jodie Marsh
Back in 2007 a website called Marry Me Jodie Marsh was launched - which was headlined with "I'm getting married this September... Only problem is that I don't have a man!". Yep, Jodie invited men to submit an application to become her husband and auditions took place for the chance to marry her the following September. The show was filmed by MTV which premiered in July 2007 and was called Totally Jodie Marsh: Who'll Take Her Up The Aisle? - during which time Jodie chose to marry Matt Peacock - an ex-boyfriend of glamour model Jordan. The couple then split in December 2007.
Jodie Marsh: Bodybuilder
Jodie became interested in the bodybuilding world back in 2009 and began to work on a VERY muscular physique - by the time January 2010 came around, Jodie had featured on LA Muscle TV during an hour long show called "6 pack in 4 weeks". This was later followed by a photoshoot for Muscle and Fitness magazine. She then went on to achieve 5th place in the Natural Physique Association Bodybuilding Championships in Sheffield.
In 2012, Jodie featured on two shows called Jodie Marsh: Bodybuilder which documented Jodie's tough weeks of training - followed by another show, Jodie Marsh: Brawn in the USA which showed her winning gold in the INBF Bodybuilding Championships in LA.
Jodie remains a public figure and fashion and fitness icon for many. She remains happily married to her personal trainer husband James Placido whom she married during a secret wedding in Barbados last August.
