Jodie Marsh recently split from her husband James Placido after eight months of marriage.

The former glamour model announced the new via Instagram, writing: “It is with sadness that I bring you the news that James and I have separated.

“I will be keeping all the dogs with me.”

She added: “I won’t be taking calls on the matter as I’d like to be left alone.

“I thank you in advance for your sensitivity on this subject.”

However Jodie, despite being suddenly single, has left fans stunned by another announcement on social media.

She’s going to have a sperm donor baby!

Taking to Twitter to reveal her decision, Jodie wrote: “The future is this: I’m making 2 more shows for @tlc_uk then I’m going to revisit having a baby via sperm donation #itsallaboutME.”

Fans responded to the announcement almost immediately, with one writing: “You will be an amazing mum Jodie, you can see by how much you love your fur babies.”

Another added: “I really hope everything works out for you, hun, and you get the little person you wish for.”

“You will be a fabulous mum one day, it might be hard but you're a strong person,” added another.

Jodie replied: “Aw thank you. I was looking into sperm donation before I met James.”

She added: “Back to the drawing board. Haha!”

Jodie hasn't yet gone into detail about why her short marriage has ended, but she did recently post a cryptic hint on Twitter.

She wrote: “When someone does wrong to her child you see the true strength of a mother…”

She added: “I have to carry on as normal because I refuse to fall apart.”
