Jodie Kidd’s marriage officially ended today after her husband was granted a quickie divorce on grounds of Jodie’s “unreasonable behaviour”. The couple had been married for just eight months.

Neither Jodie or David were in court for the hearing. Documents in court show that David filed for the divorce and cited the former model’s behaviour as a reason for applying for the divorce. They also state the couple – who have a young son – have not been living together for six months.

It took less than five minutes for Judge Judy Gibson to grant dissolution of the marriage – ruling that David could not reasonably be expected to continue living with Jodie.

In January, Jodie – who’s been touted as the next presenter of BBC car show Top Gear – told the Sun newspaper she’d separated from David just four months into their marriage, saying: “It's with sadness that David and I have separated. My priority remains my son Indio.”

An insider added: “She now admits they rushed into the marriage and they didn't really know each other well enough to make such a big commitment.

“It just wasn't working so they mutually made the difficult decision to end things rather than stay in a relationship that didn't have a future.”

Just months prior to the split, Jodie tried to paint a happy picture of her home life, saying to Hello: “As soon as David and I met, I went through a huge 360 in my mind and thought, 'that's it, we're going to spend the rest of our lives together'.

“Everything has changed in my life. He has given me the confidence to go and conquer the world."

Before marrying David, Jodie was married to Aiden Butler but sadly, they divorced after just 18 months.
