The TV personality’s daughter Melissa released a statement, telling fans: "Thank you for your continued love and support. We are keeping our fingers crossed."

Melissa and the rest of Joan’s family are hopeful that the 81-year-old will make a full recovery after she stopped breathing during surgery on her throat.
