Jim Parsons - who plays Sheldon Cooper in The Big Bang Theory - has tied the knot with his longterm boyfriend Todd Spiewak

Anyone who watches The Big Bang Theory (which, if you don't, we highly recommend) will know that Jim Parsons - who plays loveable pain-in-the-arse Sheldon Cooper - is the best thing on the show.

And what's more, Jim appears to be a total babe in real life too.

So we were really over-the-moon when we heard that he married his boyfriend of 14 years over the weekend.

Although Jim has previously been quite cagey about his private life, in December he posted a super-gushy Instagram message to mark his and Todd's 14th anniversary.

Alongside a sweet retro selfie of the pair, Jim wrote: "I met this guy (the one with the mic) 14 years ago today and it was the best thing that ever happened to me, no contest. One of his greatest gifts to me is that he no longer takes me to sing karaoke. Also, I believe this was a selfie with an actual camera, as our phones couldn't do that back then hahaha! #todd #anniversary ❤️"

Too cute!

While most of the details of the wedding are still underwraps, we do know that it took place at swanky New York restaurant Rainbow Room.

On their website, the restaurant which opened in 1934, boasts: "Located 65 stories above the landmark Rockefeller Center, with its domed ceiling, rotating dancefloor and sparkling chandeliers, the Rainbow Room is an idyllic venue for your most special moments. Surrounded by windows draped in crystal curtains, the New York City skyline provides a spectacularly romantic backdrop."
