The Sun reported the dismal number, crediting 28-year-old Jessica’s agent for blaming the likes of One Direction and the movie Frozen.
“Calendar sales are now dominated by the latest hit movie such as Frozen or Despicable Me, the most popular football clubs like Manchester United and Liverpool or teen pop groups like One Direction and 5 Seconds of Summer.
“One Big Happy star Kelly Brook remains the queen of calendars, winning the people’s choice award at the UK calendar awards ten days ago.”
But Jessica has dismissed these claims, insisting more than a dozen people have purchased her calendar.
She tweeted simply: “Absolutely not LOL.”
Jessica then retweeted some posts from the company behind the calendar, which read: “12 is a random number that The Sun has chosen?
“Jess has sold a hell of a lot more than 12. Thanks for the mention we’ve sold even more today.”
Fellow TOWIE star Dani Armstrong jumped to Jessica’s defence, tweeting: “This is laughable I stocked @MissJessWright_ calendars in my Boutique and sold over 50 in 1st week. #GetYourFactsRight [sic]”
Meanwhile Jessica’s future on TOWIE seems to be up in the air, following her split from Ricky Rayment, with former star Sam Faiers hinting that she could be considering moving on.
