Jessica Simpson to take husband’s name after marrying earlier this year

Jessica Simpson has revealed she will be taking her husband Eric Johnson's name, after they got married in July.

The mum-of-two will become Jessica Johnson on paper, and she confessed she's finding married life 'the most exciting time'.

Appearing on the Today show, Jessica, 34, gushed: "We are a little more addicted to each other. There is a level of love that has reached the highest of highs.

"When I renew my license that's very expired, I'm going to be Jessica Johnson."

Jessica also spoke out about the abuse she suffered over her weight, following the birth of her children.

She said: "It empowered me to rise above and stand for all the women out there that do have trouble losing the weight.

"It wasn't my priority to please the public and make them feel like I'm supposed to be looking like when I was 25."

Despite all of the negative comments, Jessica insisted the only person's opinion that mattered to her was Eric's.

She added: "I don't think that I wasn't still a sex symbol. To my husband I was extremely sexy."

Jessica opened up about her successful fashion business while on the show, and said: "I am extremely involved. It is something my mother and I do together."
