Merseyside Police have confirmed that Jeremy McConnell has been formerly charged with assaulting Stephanie Davies.
In yet another shocking and unexpected turn of events, Jeremy McConnell has officially been charged with assaulting Steph Davies, and is due to appear at Liverpool Magistrates' Court tomorrow.
A spokesperson for Merseyside Police, confirmed: 'We can confirm Jeremy McConnell, 27, of Swords, Ireland has been charged with assault and criminal damage following an incident in Rainhill on 9 March 2017.'
Rumours that Jeremy had assaulted Steph first surfaced in early March, after Steph posted pictures of her bruised legs on Snapchat.
Days later, Jeremy was arrested, with Merseyside Police confirming: "Following a report of an assault at an address in [Liverpool], a man has this morning [Thursday March 16)] been arrested.
"A 27-year-old man from Liverpool city centre has been arrested on suspicion of assault and criminal damage after voluntarily attending a police station on Merseyside. He remains in police custody for questioning."
Since then, Jeremy has entered rehab, and his relationship with Steph seemed to be going better than ever, with Steph revealing exclusively to Closer Magazine that her and Jeremy were even talking about having more children!
So what will this new development mean for their relationship? Will Steph stand by Jeremy? And will Jeremy face jail time for his crime? Looks like we'll have to wait till tomorrow to find out...
