Chat show host Jeremy Kyle has defended Danniella Westbrook after she was snapped cleaning a London pub.

The pictures emerged shortly after it was claimed that the ex Eastenders star would NOT be entering the Celebrity Big Brother house after doctors said she was ‘unfit’.

Earlier this year, Danniella lost out on role in Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks and she was sadly made homeless before Christmas last year.

Jeremy wrote about the star in his column for The Sun, writing: "She’s spoken to me about her highs and lows and the drugs and demons that have ravaged her. She has made plenty of mistakes but is not blaming anyone else, as far as I can see, and she’s not feeling sorry for herself either.”

Danniella appeared on Jeremy's talk show several years ago (ITV)

He then praised her for taking to cleaning job in an attempt to get her life back on track.

Jeremy said: “Danniella’s is a cautionary tale for any celeb on the up. Compared with where her career used to be, you can’t exactly say she’s “cleaning up” now but by taking on that cleaning job she’s clearly doing everything she can to make ends meet.

“She’s rolled up her sleeves, put her ego to one side and is doing her best."

According to reports, Danniella would have earned an alleged £200,000 from her stint in the Big Brother house.
