The 50-year-old announced their separation in September after 13 years of marriage. Now TV presenter Jeremy has credited his four children for getting him through the break-up.

Speaking to the Mirror, he said: “My kids are amazing and they are the ones that keep me going.

“Kids and work – that’s it. I promise you. Literally that. I’ve thrown myself into work, that has kept me going. I appreciate all the support.”

It’s been over a decade since Jeremy was last single and, when asked whether or not he’ll be trying his luck with online dating apps such as Tinder, he claimed he is too old.

Jeremy said: “I don’t understand any of that. I’m not on Twitter or any of that rubbish. I’m an old man.”

Following their split, it was claimed former model Carla had an affair with England Polo player James Carr.

But despite 25-year-old James’ claims, Jeremy insisted he and his wife split 'amicably’ and added that they’d had a ‘generally happy marriage’.

Jeremy and Carla share two daughters and a son, and he is also dad to 25-year-old Harriet from his first marriage to Kirsty Rowley, which ended in 1990.
