Former singer and television presenter Jenny Frost recently opened up about the ordeal she faced when she went into labour 33 weeks into her pregnancy.
Jenny gave birth to twin daughters Nico and Blake 5 weeks ago in Ibiza, where she lives with husband Vinnie and her 5-year-old son Casper from her relationship with DJ Dominic Thrupp.
When the 35-year-old began having contractions, she was put on strict bed rest until she went into real labour 6 days later and had to have an emergency C-section.
The singer says she was ‘petrified’ as she was rushed into the delivery room with no English speaking doctors or nurses to comfort her.
'It was scary because I was in the room without Vinnie and everyone around me was speaking Spanish'
She told a UK magazine, “You couldn’t really have planned it any worse.”
She also revealed:
“It was scary because I was in the room without Vinnie and everyone around me was speaking Spanish, I didn't know what was going on.”
After having the C-section, her daughters were swiftly taken away to paediatrics to be put in incubators, resulting in Jenny losing her temper, demanding to see the new-born twins.
She also explained that son Casper is as much in love with the girls as she is, telling Jenny that his new sisters are beautiful and encouraging visitors to ‘come and see my babies.’
Jenny and her family are now back at their home in Ibiza where Nico and Blake are doing well and are ‘chilled little babies’
She added that although the pregnancy was not as straight forward as her first, it would not put her off having any more children in the future.
Former bandmates Natasha Hamilton and Liz McCLarnon, who are preparing for a May tour with original kitten Kerry Katona as part of ITV2’s Big Reunion, are said to have sent Jenny congratulatory flowers.
