The couple, who dated for two years after meeting on the set of Gigli, were Hollywood royalty ten years ago - dubbed ‘Bennifer’ by the press.

But it all came crumbling down in January 2004, when Batman star Ben called time on their fairytale union.

‘I felt like my heart had been torn out of my chest’ said Jen, then 35.

The star had previously gushed about her talented actor fiancé, who she described as ‘brilliantly smart, loving, charming, affectionate…I just admire him in every way. I respect him. I feel like he teaches me things.’

Things were made all the worse for Jen when Affleck, who allegedly cheated on her with strippers while they were together, hooked up with actress Jennifer Garner just months after breaking off their engagement.

A year later, and Garner and Affleck wed, with the star already 4 months pregnant with their first child.

Luckily for Jen, she found singer Marc Anthony, who she describes as ‘so sure of everything.’

‘When I felt so lost, so broken and alone, there he was.’

And the star is honest in confessing that the truth behind her union with Marc was that she was scared to be alone, adding that he was her ‘knight in shining armour.’

As we know, Jen went onto marry Anthony that year, with their union lasting seven years - a lifetime in showbiz terms. Sadly, it was not to be, and J-Lo was left ‘feeling lonely and miserable and sad’ fearing she would never be happy again.
