Rumours have long swirled that Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck were on the rocks, just two years after walking down the aisle and, last week, it was confirmed the A-List couple are indeed calling it quits.
According to court documents, J-Lo, 55, filed for divorce from Gone Girl actor Ben, 52, last Tuesday – the exact day the couple would have celebrated their second wedding anniversary, marking their second wedding in Georgia after eloping in Vegas.
It was also reported that the couple did not have a prenup in place – meaning they are now faced with dividing their joint £490 million net worth.
The pair – lovingly dubbed Bennifer by fans – tied the knot in 2022, after rekindling their romance almost two decades after calling off their initial engagement. The couple initially seemed every inch the happy family, parenting Ben’s children Violet, 18, Fin, 15, and Sam, 12, who he shares with his ex Jennifer Garner, 52, and J-Lo’s twins Max and Emme, 16, who she shares with her ex Marc Anthony, 55.
However, it was soon clear that their romance was on the rocks, with the duo quietly putting their Beverly Hills mansion up for sale, before being spotted out and about without their wedding rings.
