The actress said in an interview: ‘I changed schools a lot when I was in elementary school because some girls were mean.’

‘They were less mean in middle school, because I was doing all right, although this one girl gave me invitations to hand out to her birthday party that I wasn't invited to.’

The feisty actress, who was sporting a new pixie crop this morning, spoke about how she tackled the bullies.‘I just hocked a loogie on them and threw them in the trash can.’

Jen’s advice to others in the same situation: ‘don’t worry about the bitches. That could be a good motto, because you come across people like that throughout your life.’

The Oscar winner seems to cope with the trials and tribulations of Hollywood with a similar mentality. She says: ‘Seeing everybody suck up to you and treating you differently — you just can’t let it affect you.’

Jen prefers to stay out of the spotlight, though, saying ‘My life isn’t really in Hollywood, so unless I’m working I don’t go to those parties.’

She went on to speak about her uneasiness in being considered sexy, saying that she doesn’t consider herself in that way: ‘As for being a sex symbol, I don't think of myself as sexy and, obviously, it's not true... I'm going to try to push that out of my mind because it makes me queasy.’

Jen refuses to listen to those who tell her to lose weight, once again using the same mentality she used to combat the playground bullies. She spoke about her love for food and her refusal to diet: ‘The other day I had pizza for breakfast, buffalo wings for lunch and pizza for diner.’
