Jen’s friend Gucci Westman posted a picture on Instagram of the pair with matching new piercings.

Gucci captioned the picture: “me and #jenniferaniston got our ears pierced today!!! #memories @mrchrismcmillan #loveyou.”

This week Jen also showed off a short, choppy hairstyle. Speaking to a US website, she said:

“It was kind of spur-of-the-moment. I was flipping through the television channels and I paused to take a picture and I sent it to Chris [McMillan, Jen’s hair stylist], and he said, ‘That’s Lawren Howell from Vogue!’

“And then he said, ‘I just cut that!’ So that’s it.”

The actress, 44, said that the cut was also to improve the health of her hair.

“It’s simple, it’s really simple, that’s for sure. But I’m always one of those girls who does a big old chop just to get it really healthy, to repair all the [damage from] hair coloring and stuff like that.

“And I just got bored, honestly. It’s fun to change it up once in a while.”

But, despite insisting the cut was just because she ‘got bored’, Jen admitted to another publication this week that wasn’t the case.

Speaking to a UK magazine, she said: “It wasn’t for a role. My hair went through a phase. I did this thing called a Brazilian and my hair did not react really well to it.”

The new look saw Jen have about six inches cut off of her hair, which is a dramatic difference to the shoulder length hair she had before.

Jen wasn’t the biggest fan of her most iconic look

Jennifer, who is engaged to her Wanderlust co-star Justin Theroux, is used to her hair being the centre of attention.

The style she had when Friends first aired, dubbed ‘The Rachel’, became one of the most iconic hairstyles of the 90s.

Speaking about ‘The Rachel’ this year, when asked if she’d ever go back to it, Jennifer said: “I’d rather shave my head.”
