After shooting to fame on The Only Way Is Essex, Jasmin joined Sky 1’s Desi Rascals earlier this year, and the 25-year-old revealed life in the public eye can be hard.

Speaking exclusively to Closer Online, she said: “A lot of people think I’m confident with my body, but I’m really not.

“I feel like you’re always going to get self-conscious when you’re in the public eye and there’s always something that you want to change. Obviously I’m never going to have the perfect body, but I’m happy at the moment.”

Jasmin, who is in a relationship with former Ex on the Beach star Ross Worswick, has a figure envied by many but, refreshingly for a celebrity, she wants to put on weight.

She continued: “I can kind of relate to Cheryl Fernandez-Versini a little bit, because at one point I felt like I got a lot of stick for being too thin.

“But sometimes running round and being stressed out, it just takes it toll and you end up losing weight.”

Despite being conscious of her figure, Jasmin doesn’t stop herself from indulging every now and then.

“I kind of have a mixed diet,” she said. “Sometimes I’m healthy, and I’ll have chicken, vegetable and potatoes. But other times I’ll just go and have a burger.

“Mixing it up is a good thing and, if you’re working out at the same time, there’s no harm.”

We’re used to seeing snaps of Jasmin leaving the gym, and it’s obvious she’s very active, but she insisted it’s not to lose weight.

She said: “I don’t do any cardio. But I dance, so occasionally I go to Pineapple studios. I go to the gym 3-4 times a week, and I do a lot of toning.

“So like squats and weights to help me build up my muscle. I’m on Protein World at the moment, and it’s really helped me.”

And what’s the biggest body confidence lesson Jasmin has learned since becoming famous?

“I think you just need to love yourself no matter what,” she admitted. “It’s the personality that shines through, not what’s on the outside.”
