Janet Jackson, 50, has given birth to her first child with husband Wissam Al Mana.

The baby boy has been named Eissa Al Mana, and a statement said that the couple were "thrilled".

Janet's publicist said: "Janet had a stress-free healthy delivery and is resting comfortably."

Many celebrities have taken to Twitter to congratulate the couple, including Janet's sister La Toya Jackson.

Rumours first started swirling that Janet was pregnant back in April when she postponed her Unbreakable tour, by posting a video message on Twitter, saying: "We're in the second leg of the tour and there actually has been a sudden change. I thought it was important that you be the first to know. My husband and I are planning our family, so I'm going to have to delay the tour.

"Please, if you could, try and understand that it's important that I do this now."

She then confirmed the happy news to People magazine last October, and revealed that she was due the next month in November, saying: "We thank God for our blessing."

This is Janet's third marriage. She wed 42-year-old Qatari businessman Wissam Al Mana, in 2012.

Congratulations to the happy couple!
