The video shows Jamie Lynn’s daughter Maddie dancing enthusiastically to Iggy Azalea’s ‘Fancy’.
The lyrics include Iggy describing herself as a ‘bad b***’, which Maddie sings along with.
A psychologist from Columbia University has spoken out against the video, describing it as potentially damaging to Maddie.
They told Radar Online: ‘This video is totally inappropriate, Maddie is way too young to be exposed to that type of music.’
‘Maddie could start repeating those words and dancing suggestively around her schoolmates.’
'Five-year-old children don’t have the cognitive development to know what is socially appropriate. She will think this behaviour is normal.’
They went as far to suggest that being brought up in a family of pop stars may be the reason why Maddie is dancing ‘suggestively,’ saying that she ‘could be subconsciously repeating unhealthy family patterns.’
'Jamie Lynn grew up with a superstar sister and a world of sex, drugs, and rock ‘n roll,’ they say. ‘It’s very sad she’s not breaking the cycle.’
Jamie Lynn’s didn’t seem outraged by the short clip, with on commenting: ‘Love when kids aren't worried about being embarrassed and just be themselves!’
