It was the Love Island and TOWIE crossover we all needed, but James Lock and Megan Barton-Hanson have reportedly split after just two months of dating.
The pair, who previously admitted that they were taking their romance slow as they didn’t want to rush things, have apparently ended things following a recent Christmas trip to New York.
James and Megan headed to the Big Apple to celebrate their first trip away together, but things didn’t go go exactly to plan.
A source told Mail Online: ‘Megan's relationship with James hasn't worked despite her being hopeful after he surprised during the early days of them dating.
‘As time has gone on, they have argued more and the holiday they shared together in New York last week didn't go at all to plan.
‘James spent Thursday night partying with friends and well and truly enjoying his single status again.'

Mark Wright and Sam Faiers
Mark and Sam's on/off relationship goes all the way back to when she was 16 and they met on MySpace (aw, those were the days). They briefly dated during their time on TOWIE but were never able to give things a proper go before he quit the show in 2011.

Gemma Collins and Charlie King
Gemma and Charlie briefly dated in 2012 but split after she grew concerned about his friendship with Bobby Norris. Two years later, Charlie came out as gay during an appearance on This Morning. He's still friends with Gemma and even admitted in 2017 that he would consider being the GC's sperm donor if she asked.What a turn of events that would be.

Shelby Tribble and Tom McDonnell

TOWIE’s James and Love Island’s Megan, who met while they were filming the next season of MTV show Ex On The Beach, were first spotted together in October when they were photographed ‘all over each other’ at Mayfair’s Amazonico restaurant.
They since made their romance red-carpet official at the Gay Times awards and constantly shared loved-up snaps and exchanged flirty comments on Instagram.
Megan, who has spoken out about how she wants to date men and women, recently opened up about James not being her ‘normal type’.

Speaking to MailOnline last month, she said: 'He's not really this character that I… well I used to watch TOWIE back in the day when he was the bad boy.
'He's so down to earth. He's easy to talk to. He's so intelligent and you don't really see that on TV but, yeah, we're having a great time.
'He's really opened my eyes and we've been enjoying a lot of time together. Yeah, he's really surprised me. I didn't think he would be like that.'
Essex lad James was also seen telling his ex Yazmin Oukhellou on an episode of TOWIE that he was ‘seeing someone’ and was ‘happy’.
