There’s no doubt James, 27, will provide hilarious entertainment and definite eye candy in the house, but it’s been reported there’s much more to his reason for signing up to the show.
According to reports, the businessman will be giving his fee up to save his dad’s crumbling business and stop him from going bankrupt.
A Chesterfield Magistrates’ Court recently heard that Jason Hill’s debts have caused him to be diagnosed with depression, after he appeared under charges of breaching health and safety at his club Havana Whites.
His defence told the court: “[Jason’s] potless, he believes he’s going to be made bankrupt in due course and his doctor has diagnosed him as depressed and stressed.”
Along with his debts, Jason has now been hit with a fine for over £10,000 and James has had to pay his own five-figure fine for similar health and safety breaches.
Fees for celebrities signing up to the show are always kept top secret, but it is thought James will earn at least £20,000.
Despite Jason’s worries, there are no bankruptcy proceedings currently against him or James.
Following his appearance on The Apprentice, it looks like James is starting to carve a successful showbiz career.
As well as his rumoured impending time on Celebrity Big Brother, he’s signed with a showbiz management company, the same one that looks after the likes of Anthea Turner and Luisa Zissman, and he revealed earlier this year that he’ll be releasing a calendar in 2016.
