James Corden is now the mastermind behind one of the most successful American TV shows - The Late, Late Show - but he hasnow opened up about his struggle with his weight and how it originally affected him from gaining job roles.

Corden admitted to The Sunday People that he struggled to get work and that "Decisions when I started were only made on the way I looked. They were like 'you look like this, so you will work your way to playing a bubbly judge or something'.

I would audition twice a month and go up to London and not get it. At the time it would be demoralising. The only thing that separates an amateur and a professional is rejection, when you are either told you are too fat or your ears are too big".

When he first found fame on Gavin and Stacey in 2007 playing Smithy, he admits that he stumbled accross many obstacles because of his fuller frame and that it prevented him from getting the jobs he really wanted.

And as soon as he shed a few pounds? He went from Gavin and Stacey to making it HUGE in America.

His incredibly genius and popular Carpool Karaoke has sent the internet into meltdown over and over again and his career is going from strength to strength. Good for you, Mr Corden!
