James ‘Arg’ Argent has bravely spoken out about his eating disorders after dropping to 21 and a half stone in recent months.

"My biggest problem is my eating disorder. I have always struggled with it since my teens," he told OK! magazine.

"When I’m in a bad place I binge eat, and when I put on weight it then triggers more issues. I have been aware of the issue for a long time, but I still struggle with it so I’m speaking to my therapist about changing my relationship with my food."

He also spoke out about a recent episode where police and an ambulance were called to his house – after Gemma reportedly called the emergency services after growing worried that Arg had taken an overdose.

"Gemma loves me to death. She was seriously concerned because she couldn’t get hold of me, which I understand," he explained, adding that he’d been away from his phone at the time she called.
