Jamelia has give her first interview about her traumatic third pregnancy - and her daughter's beautiful name...

Jamelia gave birth to her third child last month, announcing the news with a beautiful photo - and a cryptic caption to go with it.

In the post uploaded on 16 December last year, Jamelia wrote: "13 weeks after being told to prepare ourselves for the worst 💔.

"On the 13th of December, after drawing on and surrounding ourselves with every ounce of faith & positivity we could find, we have been abundantly blessed with the absolute best. God. Is. Oh. So. Good. #WeMadeIt #SoGrateful #MiraclesDoHappen."

But the mum-of-three chose not to elaborate on her comments - until today.

Speaking to Lorraine this morning, Jamelia revealed that her waters had actually broken when she was 23 weeks pregnant.

Poor Jamelia, 36, revealed that her waters broke prematurely during a weekend that the country experienced terrible snow: "I went into labour that weekend that we had that awful snow. My husband was at work and my eldest daughter had three of her friends over for a sleepover."

She went on: "It was like an episode of Fawlty Towers! We ended up having to walk in the snow to the train station – you couldn’t make it up! I was in labour.

"By that point it was just remain positive, make a joke out of it. We did have such a laugh."

Good job she could see the funny side!

Jamelia explained that she was told to prepare for the worst after her waters broke - but against all odds, she managed to hold on until 36 weeks.

She said: "I didn’t know your waters could break and you can still carry the baby.

“When your waters break, they usually think you’re going to go into labour within the hour. From that point they said the baby could come any day now.

"There are so many problems that come along with that happening. I was 100% bed rest. It was a scary time for all of us."

She added: "Going through something like that really opens your eyes. We’ve all had a trying time as a family, but I feel blessed.

"They keep calling my daughter a miracle baby."

Even though Jamelia and her little girl went through a terrifying ordeal, the singer has made it into a positive experience - even using it as inspiration for her daughter's name.

She said: "Her name is True. We’ve called her True. The reason I hadn't revealed the name or gender was I wanted her to meet my nan and grandad first. She only met them this weekend.

"I had a lovely little girl, another daughter and her name is True and we put Winter in there too as it’s part of the story."

True Winter - she's going to be a Hollywood star with a name like that!
