Jake Wood reveals I’m A Celeb 2015 hopes: ‘I’m not squeamish’

It’s already been confirmed that Jake Wood is set to take a year-long break from BBC One’s EastEnders.

His character, Max Branning, is currently the police’s number one suspect in the Lucy Beale murder case.

While viewers know Bobby Beale actually committed the crime, it seems that DCI Marsden is certain she’s got the right man - meaning it’s VERY possible that Max will wind up behind bars.

So what will Jake be doing while his character languishes in prison?

Well, if rumours are to be believed, he’ll be chowing down on some Aussie critters in the I’m A Celeb 2015 jungle.

Jake, for his part, has done nothing to stop rumours, either.

When asked about whether he’d consider giving the Aussie jungle a go, he told Radio Times: “I do really like that show.

"Everyone I’ve spoken to who’s done it has said they really enjoyed it. I’m not squeamish - so eating strange stuff wouldn’t bother me.”

He added: “It would be a good holiday for the family as well, wouldn’t it? And the money would be nice.

“But I think the main appeal is that it’s a different kind of experience.”
