That's exactly what King of the Jungle Carl Fogarty and runner-up Jake Quickenden are reportedly going through.
Jake, 26, is said to have grown close to 49-year-old Carl's daughter Danielle, and even spent Christmas with the family.
A source told The Sun: "They've grown close and really like each other.
"They are taking it very slowly because they don't want to ruin their friendship and he's just come out of a relationship.
"He has been welcomed with open arms by the family and they're having a lot of fun."
Danielle confirmed to the newspaper: "He keeps coming up to the family home. He is part of the family now."
She uploaded snaps of them celebrating together over the festive period, and in one Jake can be seen planting a kiss on her cheek.
Foggy previously joked about Jake and his daughter. When he first came out of the jungle, he said: "Jake asked, 'Is your daughter coming to the wrap party?' I think he was winding me up. Jake's a lovely lad."
If things get serious between Jake and Danielle, could we see him starring in the Osbournes-type reality show Foggy has been offered?
He recently said: "There's talk of us doing an Osbournes-type reality show like Sharon and Ozzy's family. We've been approached but we need to discuss it. Our two daughters would need to be on board too."
