EastEnders Lauren Branning Jacqueline Jossa will soon be leaving Albert Square so what's next for the wife of TOWIE'S Dan Osborne?

In a shock move by BBC bosses, the popular actress and her on screen sister Abi have been axed from the soap and are expected to depart as part of dramatic scenes over Christmas.

Jacqueline, who has a daughter with reality star Dan, has recently been involved in huge storylines involving her scheming father Max (Jake Wood) and recently decreased fiance Steven Beale (Aaron Sidwell).

Her character Lauren is completely unware her sister had been sleeping with Steven behind her back and is now expecting his baby, while her dad was part of a cruel scheme to make her believe he had a brain tumour.

The news that Jacqueline and Lorna have been written out of the soap came as a huge surprise to fans and it is not yet known whether they will be killed off, or left with an option of returning in the future.

As the soap is filmed eight weeks ahead of broadcast, Jacqueline and Lorna's time on set will soon be coming to an end.

The timing has led to huge speculation that Jacqueline will go straight from the East End to the Aussie Outback as a star on the new series of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!

But today, her official rep ruled the move out, telling The Mirror: "Jacqueline is absolutely not doing I'm a Celebrity."

However, the contestants on the ITV show are always such a closely guarded secret... can we really believe them?

A separate source close to the actress teased that it won't be long till "all will be revealed" about Jacqueline's future.

Addressing claims that the 24-year-old was feeling under strain over how she would financially support her family without her soap income, the source told Digital Spy: "It's completely untrue that Jacqueline is anxious or worried about her future after EastEnders.

Jacqueline shared this sweet picture of her and Lorna when it was announced they were both being axed from the soap

"Jacqueline is a talented actress with a bright future ahead of her. It's too early to discuss her future plans but all will be revealed."

Jacqueline has so far been tight-lipped about her plans, tweeting only a picture of herself with her arm around Lorna and a heart emoji when their EastEnders departure was announced.

Dan added his thoughts by retweeting her picture with the message: "The show will miss these 2 characters. You are so talented babe and I'm proud of you. This is just the beginning of your career."

Jacqueline's husband Dan tweeted to say he's so proud of her*

We couldn't agree more, we'll miss Jacqueline on Albert Square and hope to see her back on our screens very soon!
