On Mother’s Day in 2009, Big Brother star Jade Goody lost her short battle with cervical cancer.

Just weeks before she tragically passed away on March 22, the mum-of-two and Jack married in a close and personal ceremony.

And now, seven years on, Jack, 28, has posted a touching tribute to his late wife on the anniversary of their matrimony.

Taking to Instagram, Jack posted a short but sweet message in her memory:

He wrote: “Married this angel 7 years ago today,” along with a heart emoji and a kiss.

The picture showed Jack with Jade during her cancer battle.

Jade and Jack began dating in 2006, and even appeared on the Celebrity version of Big Brother together.

Before Jade met Jack, she was in a relationship with This Morning presenter Jeff Brazier – the father of her two children, Bobby, 12 and Freddie, 11.

Both of Jade’s former partners have worked to keep her memory alive since her untimely passing, often posting tributes to her online.

This time last year, Jack posted a collage of the two of them together, saying: “6 years gone miss you more each day #jade #rip.”

And inJ une last year, Jeff spoke on This Morning about how his two sons coped with Jade’s passing.

He said: “They’ll always feel it… It’s not something you eliminate, it’s something you manage.

“Quite a lot of the time I think everything is under control but there are times when their grief kicks in and it’s far from Zen.

“I have to remind myself to not take personally. Sometimes with Bobby I get the very worst comments thrown at me.

“But he’s my little boy, I love him and I accept he’s going to be angry.

“I accept him doing it to me rather than at school or in society when he’s older. I’d much rather he’d take it out on me because, in some respects, that’s trust, that’s love.

“He knows that’s the safest place to do it. Do I begrudge him having this anger?

“No I don’t. I just understand.

“It’s not about what he says, but about how quickly I can help him get to a point where he sort-of gets through the little wave of grief that sometimes washes over him.”

With the anniversary of Jade’s death fast approaching, our thoughts go out to Jade’s family and friends.
