## It's been eight years since Jade Goody passed away

:a[Jade Goody]{href='http://lifestyle.one/celebrities/jade-goody/' target='_blank' rel='noopener noreferrer'}'s widower :a[Jack Tweed]{href='http://lifestyle.one/celebrities/jack-tweed/' target='_blank' rel='noopener noreferrer'} has paid an emotional tribute to his belated wife eight years after her death.

It was while the Celebrity Big Brother star was taking part in the Indian version of Big Brother she discovered she had cervical cancer and less than a year later she passed away, leaving behind her two sons Freddie, 12 and Bobby, 13.

Jade raised awareness of cervical cancer and after she passed away there was a huge increase in the amount women taking smear tests.

# A month before she died the reality star married her boyfriend Jack Tweed and the 29-year-old has today paid a tribute on the anniversary of her death. On Instagram he posted an adorable throwback photo of the pair laughing and smiling with the caption: "5th June, 1981 - 22nd march, 2009. #RememberJade #Rip #SmearTest"

Lots of people have sent Jack their best wishes. One person commented: "Beautiful jade did so much and she will of saved so many life's get your smear tests girls x"

Someone else wrote: "Thoughts to you and jades family she was one special girl never to be forgotten"

Another person commented: "Rip jade. I can't believe it has been so long since she left you and her beautiful boys"

A fourth person said: "Thinking of you jack and jade,she was a very brave lady but so was you so very brave and strong for her,you've made her last days the happiest xxx"

Following the reality stars' death her children now live with their dad Jeff Brazier and have remained fairly private with Jeff rarely posting photos of them on social media.
