Harry Potter fans were VERY excited to note that yesterday was, indeed, the day that Harry Potter’s eldest son James Sirius Potter would be taking to train to Hogwarts for the very first time.
Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling confirmed the important date, writing on Twitter: "Could somebody at King's Cross wish James S. Potter good luck for me? He's starting at Hogwarts today."
So what happened when James arrived at Hogwarts and tried on the famous Sorting Hat?
Well, J.K. Rowling made sure she gave her fans all the answers they wanted.
She revealed later on Twitter: “Have just heard that James S Potter has been Sorted (to nobody's surprise) into Gryffindor. Teddy Lupin (Head Boy, Hufflepuff) disappointed.”
Not all her fans were happy with James’ allocation, with one responding: “NO HE SHOULD BE IN SLYTHERIN.”
Another called for a follow up to the last book, writing: “Wish this was a book not a Tweet!”
