Mum-of-two Izzy Judd was left paralysed by fear after her son Kit fell ill and was rushed to hospital.

Izzy, who gave birth to Kit two months ago, posted a worrying photo of her son's tiny foot with a hospital band around his tiny ankle.

The author and musician, who is also mum to 22-month-old Lola with McFly hubby Harry, uploaded the photo after previously admitting that both her children were feeling under the weather earlier in the week.

She wrote: "A seriously tough week... Kit has been a poorly boy and we ended up in hospital. The little man is doing better tonight and we’re hoping to get home tomorrow."

"Tonight Kit has given me the most beautiful smiles, my heart has longed to see those for the last few very long days.

"I have experienced so many emotions but what I have learned is don’t be afraid to call for help and ALWAYS remember a mothers instinct is very powerful."

But Izzy, who has previously struggled with fertility issues and other health issues, was able to turn a negative into a positive, and used her platform to praise the NHS.

She wrote: "Whilst I sit by his bed I just want to take a moment to say how amazingly lucky we are to have the #nhs who in our hour of need came to our rescue.

"We have been looked after by the most amazing paramedics, doctors and beautifully caring nurses. A very frightening experience was eased by a very kind and reassuring nurse who held my hand when my little boy was very distressed."

She was flooded with comments from fellow parents who offered their sympathies and support to the worried mum.

Because let's face it, we've all been there!

This comes after a week off illness for the poor family, as little Lola was poorly last week.

Izzy posted a photo of herself with her daughter looking rather upset, and revealed that both the children have been poorly.

She wrote: "This little one isn’t herself today so we’re making the most of snuggling up whilst Kit is snoozing. Been a difficult few days after Kit’s vaccinations and both bubbas not being 100%."
