It’s been barely two weeks since Amber Heard and Johnny Depp announced their whirlwind 15-month marriage was over, but the lurid reports about intimate workings of their relationship show no signs of stopping.

Amber, 30, filed for divorce on 23 May, just three days after the death of Johnny’s 81-year-old mother, Betty Sue. The actress accused her estranged husband of domestic violence – something Johnny, 52, strenuously denies - and was pictured with what appeared to be a bruised cheek.

Pictures also emerged of Amber with a cut lip and battered face after an alleged incident in December, where the actress ‘feared for her life’.

But after being granted a restraining order against her estranged husband, just days later it was reported that Amber would not be pressing charges against Johnny.

A source says: “Amber has thought long and hard and has realised that destroying Johnny is not what she wants.

"Johnny is determined his reputation stays intact – his team think Amber is an opportunist out for cash and they want to set the record straight.”
