The Sun reports that producers have been attempting to sign Susannah on for the show ‘for years’ in the hope that her appearance would be ‘TV gold’.
A source revealed: “We have been after her for years, so this is a major coup. Susannah down much telly recently but hopes being on the show will kick start her career again.
“She’s a woman who knows her own mind and is not afraid to speak out when she thinks something is wrong.
“We expect her to clash with the campers and definitely ruffle feathers.”
Susannah could be set to join the likes of Made In Chelsea’s Spencer Matthews, former Geordie Shore star Vicky Pattison and Hollyoaks actress Jorgie Porter in the hotly anticipated new series.
The source added that Susannah will prove popular after swapping her glamorous lifestyle for jungle madness.
They said: “Fans will have a lot of fun seeing her stripped of her usual clothes and slum it in the jungle for the next few weeks.”
