The intimate ceremony was held in Los Angeles away from prying eyes, allowing the actor’s close circle of friends and family to share their grief privately.
The service lasted around 45 minutes and took place two weeks from the day that the Fast and Furious star was tragically killed in a car accident.
Tributes to the actor included an honorary black belt from his Jiu-Jitsu teacher, Ricardo Miller.
The martial arts coach wrote on his website that Paul ‘was determined to become a black belt. He said, 'I will get my black belt, even if I need to get it in my coffin.' Now in the wake of his death, I would like to reward Paul Walker the black belt that he wanted so much during his life.’
His remains were cremated ahead of the funeral, which was attended by close family - including his parents Paul Walker Senior and Cheryl Walker- as well as his Fast and Furious co-stars.
The funeral was kept private to protect the actor’s 15-year-old daughter, Meadow, who is reportedly (and understandably) ‘broken up’ over her father’s death.
Our thoughts go out to Paul’s family and friends as they continue to grieve for the actor.
