The Hollyoaks bosses might have to provide a bit of a morale boost following the latest drama from one of the soap’s cast members.

Actress Helen Pearson, who plays Frankie Osbourne in the hit soap, was found guilty of drink driving after police found her driving down the M6.

The 55-year-old was found to be three times over the drink-drive limit, and was also driving without insurance.

The incident took place in 2013, but Ms Pearson was sentenced for the crime last week.

The actress will plead guilty to the offence and must now do 120 hours of unpaid work and pay a £500 fine. She was also ordered to pay £295 in court costs.

Ms Pearson has starred in the popular Channel 4 soap since 2002 and her character is one of the most recognisable.

She has also taken on previous roles in Eastenders, The Bill, Emmerdale and A Touch of Frost.

The MailOnline attempted to contact Ms Pearson’s representatives about her sentencing but they declined to comment.

It has been a difficult week for the Hollyoaks crew as actress Stephanie Davis dramatically had her contract ‘terminated with immediate effect’.
