It’s official; Alex Fletcher has welcomed a baby son with her husband, Neil Davies.
According to Hello! magazine, the real-life Diane O’Connor gave birth on June 3.
Yup, just weeks before celebrating her 40th birthday.
“He’s the best birthday present I could wish for. I have my two kids, a lovely husband and we are all healthy," she told them.
However her pregnancy was not without its worries, as the soapstar - who also has an 11-year-old daughter, Yasmin - suffered an ectopic pregnancy last year.
She said: “I wondered whether things were not working properly because I was older. You think, 'It's my fault, have I been selfish?'
“It made me realise how much I wanted another baby. Having gone through all that has made his arrival all the more precious."
Thankfully, her little boy arrived safely via caesarean section, weighing 8lbs 9oz.
And she and her hubby picked out a seriously kitschy name for their little bundle of joy.
That’s right, he’s called Hanson - which means, quite literally, the ‘son of Hans’.
Nameberry.com describes the moniker as being “more familiar and melodic to the American ear than either Hans or Hansen.”
They added that “some might attach it to the three-brother pop-rock band called Hanson.”
We love his sweet name - even more than we loved 90s pop song Mmmbop!
Congratulations to the happy family on their new addition; he’s adorable.
