This Morning’s Holly Willoughby has spoken out about how she manages to juggle work with raising a young family
According to the London Evening Standard, Holly said: ‘My eldest is in school now, my youngest is in nursery. You just have to be good at working out a pattern and how things work.'
‘You become very organised at how your life works. Whenever I’ve got to leave work, I’ll go. There’s no, ‘just another five minutes’. I’ll go. I’m very strict.’
The TV presenter is mum to 4-year-old Harry and 2-year-old Belle.
Holly’s comments came after Channel 4 news presenter Jon Snow spoke about how many of his female collegeues had to sacrifice their careers in order to have children.
Holly disagrees with Jon’s comments, arguing that with a bit of time and effort juggling a career and a family is achievable.
She explains: ‘There are a lot of working mums on TV now, like Emma Bunton. You’ve just got to work out a balance.’
Holly was careful to mention that women should have the right to choose what works best for them in terms of career and kids.
She said: ‘Everybody’s balance levels are very different. I’ve got mine figured, but that doesn’t mean it works for anybody else. I can’t judge anyone else on how they run their life and I wouldn’t want anyone to judge the way I live mine.’
Holly's comments also come after Katie Hopkins branded stay-at-home mums 'lazy,' writing: 'Full time mumm is not an occupation.... It is merely a biological status.'
