Queen of Daytime TV and of our hearts Holly Willoughby has revealed how she learned to laugh off judgmental voices who slammed her for being blonde.

You wouldn't think that anyone could have a bad word to say about Holly, who is one half of our favourite presenting duo (sorry Ant and Dec!) along with Phillip Schofield.

We know that people in general tend to be much harsher on women than men - especially when it comes to their appearance.

And though it's not exactly surprising, Holly has revealed that when she started out in television as a fresh-faced 19-year-old, she was subject to a lot of negativity.

Mainly because of her HAIR colour.

We know - we thought that people were OVER dumb blonde jokes. They're really NOT that funny, yano.

Speaking on The Jonathan Ross Show, which airs tomorrow on ITV, Holly revealed: "I think I have it less now, I think when I started out I did because a lot of people look at the blonde hair and this and that and the other and have a massive judgement on you."

But the amazingly confident but humble Holly learned to overcome judgement from others and has achieved an impressive career already despite them.

She added: "When I first started in telly, I had a lot of negative comments about myself but then I suddenly realised I couldn't be anyone else... You can only be you.

"And when you accept that then that just makes things easier."

Holly even gushed over her friendship with Phillip, revealing that she had actually watched him on telly as a child herself.

She said: "I love that man. We met on Dancing on Ice, rink side would you believe? I'd obviously watched him on the telly lots, he was in the broom cupboard, he was my children's TV presenter that I used to watch.

"I was a bit scared when I first met him but that changed very quickly when I realised he was basically me in the male form."

How cute!
