Cheating, horrible isn’t it? Being cheated on is one of the most utterly devasting and heart wrenching things that can occur in any relationship.
Not only does it leave you feeling betrayed by the person you trust the most, you can also end up questioning your own desirability and have trust issues moving forward with potential new partners.
But what would you do if you discovered a friend’s partner was cheating? It’s a tricky one isn’t it – would you fess up, exposing the love rat or keep quiet for fear of reprisals?
Enter Holly Willoughby. The This Morning presenter has revealed she had absolutely no qualms about exposing her friends cheating partner.

In March 2021, Holly started a bit of gardening...
The conversation came about during a candid chat on the show about cheating during Vanessa Feltz’s phone-in segment.
The caller revealed she’d given the person who was cheating an ultimatum – tell her or I will.
This prompted a discussion about what Holly and Vanessa would do in a similar situation.

Vanessa said, “I know you have strong views on this Holly, tell them what you did.”
Holly admitted to going straight to her friend and telling her the truth
“Yes, I have told, I still don’t know if it’s the right or wrong thing to do, I know you feel the opposite way, but I’d want to know,” she said.
Vanessa then admitted she wishes she’d been told about being cheated on in the past and understands why people feel they should tell.

She was then quick to point out the pitfalls of being the messenger in this situation.
“The thing is, if they reconcile, you’re the trouble maker and you get blamed. The nature of bad news infects the teller,” the show’s agony aunt cautioned.
Holly then revealed she thinks it’s a difficult decision to make and doesn’t know the answer.
