Sitting down on ITV’s This Morning, Holly Willoughby - who is a mother to three children herself - reminded viewers that there is a child at the centre of the media storm surrounding Jay-Z’s alleged affair with Rita Ora.
Following the release of Beyonce’s new visual album, Lemonade, fans have picked up on lyrics which seem to suggest that Jay-Z has been unfaithful to his wife.
His mistress has been dubbed by Beyonce simply as "Becky with the good hair".
The term ‘Becky’, however, is not actually the woman’s name.
It is, in fact, a blanket name for white women.
Rylan Clark opened up about the scandal on the ITV daytime show, explaining to Philip Schofield and Holly that many have accused Rita Ora as being Jay-Z’s mistress.
This comes after the songstress shared a photo of herself wearing a lemon bra and a ‘J’ necklace - not to mention stepping out in the exact same outfit worn by Bey in her music video for Formation.
Looking uncomfortable, Holly attempted to find an innocent explanation.
She said: "Maybe the bra was a piece from her range? Or maybe she's just a massive Keith Lemon fan?
“Oh I don't like all of this..."
Rylan, failing to notice Holly’s discomfort, went on to reference a few lines from the Beyonce album, which appear to draw a parallel between her father and a lover, presumably her husband Jay Z.
"You remind me of my father," she says. "A magician. Able to exist in two places at once. In the tradition of men in my blood, you come home at 3 a.m. and lie to me. What are you hiding?"
Explaining that her father - a reported adulterer - has refused to comment on the speculation, Rylan said: "Well, Beyonce's dad was asked if the allegations are true and he said there's no way anyone can get inside the mind of Beyonce other than Beyonce.
“He would only comment on Beyonce as a proud dad.”
Rylan continued: "But on the new record, Beyonce references her dad, so the press said to him 'Isn't she talking about you?!' Then he turned around and said 'I'm 64, do you really think I don't care what people say. I know the response you want to hear but you're not going to get it!'"
However it seemed as if the conversation had become too much for Holly.
When the emotional presenter was asked what was wrong, Holly said simply: "It's just so sad because there is a child involved.
“It's really sad."
Their discussion came as Beyonce, for the first time, addressed her husband publicly.
Speaking on stage last night in Miami, on the first night of her Formation World Tour, Beyonce dedicated her hit Halo to her did-he-didn't-he husband.
"I want to dedicate this song to my beautiful husband," she said in front of thousands of screaming fans.
"I love you so much."
Hmm.
Anyone else feeling VERY confused right about now?
