But it turns out the 27-year-old star is just like us when it comes to finding romance, and has signed upto the immensely popular Tinder app in order to get dates.
Currently in the throes of divorcing husband Mike Comrie, Duff told Ryan Seacrest: ‘It’s totally me on Tinder.’
‘It kind of started out to be a joke with some of my girlfriends. I was like, ‘Explain this whole thing to me because it’s kind of blowing my mind.’
After trying the app out on her friends’ phones, Hilary decided she wanted in on the action - and has even been on a date with a lucky man named Tom.
‘He was cool’ said the Lizzie Maguire star, ‘I don’t know how I’m feeling. We’ll see how it goes.’
But despite being relatively new to the game, Hilary already has another date lined up for later this week, saying she feels like a ‘Tinder animal.’
Duff and Comrie separated in 2014 before Duff filed for divorce. They share a three-year-old son, Luca, who Hilary says they are devoted to raised together.
‘I feel happy, I feel good, and I’m excited about all I have going on.’
