One Direction's Harry Styles, 19, looked VERY awkward during an interview with Australian Sunrise presenter Samantha Armytage, 36, when she showed him a picture of him kissing his bandmate, Louis Tomlinson, 21.

"That is Photoshopped. There was a lady in there"

Samantha, who recently claimed she rejected Harry after he made a move, showed Harry and his bandmates, Liam Payne and Niall Horan, both 20, the alleged photograph. And, for once, the 1D boy was lost for words.

Yup, upon seeing the photo, the famous loverat - who has been linked with Caroline Flack, Alexa Chung and Taylor Swift - looked hopelessly bewildered.

However, after pulling himself together, Harry insisted: "That is Photoshopped. There was a lady in there."

Thankfully Liam, who noticed Harry struggling to comment, quickly leapt to the rescue of his friend.

"They've actually done this to me and Niall as well. When somebody's in the middle, they just take the person out from the middle. It's very clever actually."

It is, yes. Samantha, after hearing Liam's explanation, again asked: “There’s nothing going on?”

But, before Harry could reply, Liam jokingly replied: "Nah, it's just me and Niall,” before raising one eyebrow to the camera.

Check out the awkward interview for yourself:

Oh Liam, you scamp.

Louis Tomlinson has been rumoured to be proposing to his Doncaster sweetheart of two years, Eleanor Calder, which should hush the claims.

Samantha Armytage also recently let slip that Harry had been flirting with her, supposedly inviting her to a round of golf, to which she rejected:

"There was a lot of flirting from him… He did invite me for a round of golf."

The flattered presenter added: “I'm old enough to be his mother.”

One Direction, who were X Factor 2010 Runner Up winners, are in the battle to be part of the top 10 worldwide finalists in the bid to win MTV’s Best Worldwide Act.
