Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez, who tied the knot in July 2013, have been rumoured to be on the rocks for several months after the X-Men actress was repeatedly photographed without her wedding ring.
She also appeared to forget about the stars' wedding anniversary in July, when she was asked about their plans to celebrate during an interview with E! News.
"Thank you for reminding me," she said.
"I gotta get something fast!"
Now, according to TMZ.com, the X-Men actress has filed for divorce, citing ‘irreconcilable differences’ as the reason for the split.
The couple shares two-year-old son Maceo, and Halle Berry is reportedly asking for the custody agreement to be in "the best interests of the child".
If reports prove to be true, this will be Halle Berry's third failed marriage - she was also previously wed to former baseball player David Justice and singer Eric Benet.
She also has a daughter, Nahla, with her ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry.
