The 47-year-old actress gave birth to a boy on Saturday at Cedars Sinai hospital in Los Angeles- birthplace of many a celebrity baby.
This is Halle’s second child- the former Bond girl already has 5 year-old daughter Nahla with ex-fiancé Gabriel Aubry.
Before Halle announced her baby news this year, she appeared on The Wendy Williams show in November, revealing Nahla’s desire to be a big sister.
‘Every night, we do our prayers.
‘We pray to God, so sweet. She says, “God, please bring me a bunk bed and a baby sister." And I say, "I can do one of those things, I know for sure. The other one, we've got to keep praying on."
Halle married Olivier in France in July, but the French S.W.A.T. actor has confirmed his child will remain American.
'My son will remain an American, but I will remain French,' he explained. 'I remain a Frenchman in America, but I adapt to American culture.'
This is Monster’s Ball star Halle ‘s third marriage. She was previously married to baseball player David Justice in the early 1990s and to singer Eric Benét in the early 2000s.
The Oscar winner has signed up to star in Extant, a 13-episode drama starting next summer, in which she will play an astronaut trying to reconnect with her family when she returns after a year in outer space.
