Gwen Stefani ‘divorcing husband because she believed he was cheating on her’

The reason behind Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale’s split has allegedly been revealed, with sources stating Gwen believed her husband had been unfaithful.

Stefani filed for divorce from her husband of 13 years this week, apparently because she deeply suspected he had been cheating on her, TMZ reported.

Sources close to the couple told the publication the split had been a ‘long time coming’ and that they had tried desperately to make the marriage work.

But sadly, the parents of Kingston, 9, Zuma, 7, and Apollo, 17 months, could not make things work, announcing in a joint statement that they are no longer together.

'While the two of us have come to the mutual decision that we will no longer be partners in marriage, we remain partners in parenthood and are committed to jointly raising our three sons in a happy and healthy environment.'

According to TMZ, Gwen was unhappy about how much time Gavin was away touring with his band Bush, which he saw as hypocritical because she was also often on the road.

Gwen, 45, filed divorce papers in a California court, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason behind the split.

The No Doubt front woman is seeking joint custody of her kids with Bush singer Gavin, 49.

Gavin and Gwen began saying in 1995 when No Doubt supported Bush on tour. They were married in 2002 in Covent Garden, and went onto have three children - the latest being born in February 2014.

The couple will now have to divide up their estate, which includes a property in Primrose Hill, London, and Los Angeles.
