Speaking with a UK magazine, Charlotte Hawkins revealed that she has been trying for a baby with her husband Mark Herbert for several years.
She was on the verge of starting IVF treatment before she finally fell pregnant.
Charlotte said: "It took a long while for it to sink in that I was pregnant because we’d been trying for quite some time - years, in fact."
"We’d got to the stage where we’d started to think, 'Is this ever going to happen for us?'
"We’d actually just gone through the paperwork to go down the IVF route as we thought it might be the only option left for us."
She added emotionally: "Even now there’s a big part of me that won’t quite believe it until I have my baby safely in my arms."

Charlotte joined Susanna Reid, Ben Shepherd and Sean Fletcher as part of presenting line-up of ITV's new breakfast show Good Morning In Britain in April.
