The recent refugee crisis is a touchy subject for many, but, if there’s one thing we know about Gogglebox star Scarlett Moffatt, it’s this.

She’s never afraid to say EXACTLY what she thinks.

So, when OK! magazine asked her what she would do if she was made Prime Minister, the outspoken Geordie didn’t hold back.

"I'd make people stop going on about immigration,” she said firmly.

The witty television star continued: “People think they own the country but they were lucky to be born here.

"They need to put themselves in other people's shoes before they start blaming them for things.

“It's doing my head in."

You and us both, Scarlett!

Last month, David Cameron caved to public pressure and said Britain would let 20,000 Syrian refugees into the country over the next five years.

However, with Germany struggling to cope with the numbers of refugees, it seems as if the UK needs to offer more aid.

Almost 15,000 have arrived at Munich's train station since Chancellor Angela Merkel threw the country’s borders open last month.

Thomas de Maiziere, German's interior minister, said the dramatic U-turn was a "signal to Europe" to take their share of refugees.

He said: "Germany is facing up to its humanitarian responsibility, but the burdens connected with the large number of refugees must be distributed in solidarity."
