One of our favourite Gogglebox personalities has recently confessed that before the transplant he wore toupées and wigs which cost him a total of £500. However after he noticed that the glue was sticking his hair to his scalp and in fact damaged his actual hair he stopped wearing them.

He recalled an embarrassing moment he had while wearing wigs, "I can remember one man almost getting the surprise of his life when it almost came off in his had.

"I realised the only long-term solution to my problem was a hair transplant."

The TV star has in fact had two transplants; the first five years ago and the second at Crown Clinic after he found fame on the Channel 4 show Gogglebox.

Chris states that he feels 10 years younger with his results following his hair transplant, he explained: "I had significant baldness around my crown and this new procedure has filled in all those gaps."

Because of his baldness he had 2,000 hair grafts transplanted into his crown.

He also admitted that he chose the same surgeon as Calum Best because of his amazing job.

"Thousands of men have been inspired by people like Wayne Rooney, Calum [Best] and Robbie Williams to get help with their hair," he continued.

"The technology has improved so much that you cannot tell if a person has had anything done."

He added: "I am a hairdresser and even I cannot tell unless I have known the client before the procedure."

Chris also confessed when he had the surgery: "I had it during a break in filming Gogglebox just after Christmas and then returned to the last series with my head shaved where they had taken the donor hair for the procedure.

"I was wearing a baseball cap to cover it up while my hair grew back."

And because he was bald some of his fans thought he was going through chemotherapy, but he admitted: "The truth is I have had a hair transplant and I am very happy to make that clear."

Chris also confessed that he is very happy following his transplants, because he wanted his hair to look good when he marries his fiancé Tony Bultand.
