Country star Dolly, 68, revealed to a UK newspaper her concerns over Miley’s behaviour, saying she thinks it time she calmed down a bit now.
She said: One day she’d had enough and told me: ‘I need to murder Hannah Montana in order for people to accept who I really am.’ I think she felt she had to make a severe change. And she obviously did.”
Dolly thinks Miley needs to reign in her bizarre behaviour now though, or it will start to overshadow her talent.
“I’m hoping she holds it in the road and doesn’t do so many things that are bizarre. I don’t think the crowd would be so forgiving again if she did anything else that was really offensive.”
Although she is concerned, Dolly thinks Miley is just ‘making a place for herself’ and admitted she does have faith in her.
She said: “I was very worried. I was holding my breath, hoping that people didn’t crucify her. But she felt she had to make a place for herself in this pop world.
“If she is as smart as I think she is, I think she’ll make the right decision.”
Meanwhile, Miley has been forced to take a break from her Bangerz tour this week, after having a serious allergic reaction to the antibiotics she was taking for a sinus infection.
The 21-year-old took to Twitter from her hospital bed to slam people making up rumours and fabricating her illness.
She said: “shut the f*** up & let me heal. Stop scaring my family, friends & fans.” She then posted an official statement about her illness.
